This warranty applies only to products manufactured by Esker Forge.

Table Of Contents

1. What we cover

We will repair or replace your item if a component of your sword (blade, crossguard, handle, pommel) fails due to a manufacturing defect within 12 months of the original date of receipt.

Manufacturing defects generally become apparent within the first weeks of consistent use. To make a claim, email info@eskerforge.com with:

  • Photos or video of the issue

  • A brief description of what happened

  • Your original receipt including date of purchase

  • For blade claims, a clear photo of the number stamped on the tang (claims cannot be processed without this)

Esker Forge will cover shipping costs for approved warranty claims both ways.

2. What is not covered

This warranty does not cover normal wear from HEMA use or damage resulting from:

  • Expected impact, flex, and abrasion during regular training

  • Handle wraps cut through or damaged by strikes

  • Gradual bending or warping from extended or heavy use

  • Crossguards bent from accumulated or heavy impact

  • Misuse, improper maintenance, or user modification that causes the damage

If a modification directly causes damage, only that modification-related damage is excluded. Unrelated manufacturing defects remain covered.

3. Bent Blades

Slight deviation is normal in all training blades. A sword should not arrive with a severe bend or set out of the box; if it does, please contact your retailer promptly, as this is usually a shipping issue rather than a warranty issue.

During use, blades can take a permanent bend (“set”), especially from deep thrusts that deflect the blade more than 15 cm (6 inches). This is considered normal wear in HEMA and is not covered by this warranty.

If your blade takes a severe set from controlled, normal use (including thrusts with no more than 15 cm of deflection) within the first 2 months of use, please contact us, as this may indicate a manufacturing defect covered under this warranty.

We do not recommend repeatedly or strongly flexing the blade to “test” its bend or flex. Intentionally over-flexing the blade, or flexing it beyond 15 cm, is considered misuse and any resulting damage is not covered.

4. Exclusive Remedy

For any covered claim, Esker Forge's sole obligation is to repair or replace the item at our discretion. Refunds are not provided under this warranty.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Esker Forge is not liable for:

  • Injury, accidents, or property damage arising from use or misuse of the product

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind

Our maximum liability is limited to the original purchase price of the product.

6. Worldwide Coverage

This warranty applies worldwide, regardless of where the product was purchased. Customers who purchased through a retailer must submit warranty claims directly to Esker Forge.
